Months 0-3 {aka Nausea Town, Population 1}

Because I didn't know I was pregnant the second it was possible to test as I did with my previous pregnancies, I didn't really have any symptoms.

That is, until around 7 weeks. I was tired and hungry of course, and there may have been a Taco Bell visit somewhere along the path -- but then, the old tooth brushing/gagging combo started, and then the taste of my own tongue made me ill. I tried everything the books and websites suggested. What I ended up doing a lot of was drinking ginger ale, small snacks throughout the day, eating something (mostly bananas and crackers) before I got out of bed in the morning, and eating mints and lifesavers ALL DAY LONG.
It was bad in the mornings at first and then it started to get bad at night. Off and on all day.
I tried to stay busy with play groups and taking Chase to activities but there were times when I just felt like I couldn't focus on anything except how bad I felt.

I never had this much nausea with my other pregnancies. After I ate, it went away.
I started to fear it would last the entire pregnancy. Then I hit a certain date: the 12 week mark.
It was like someone flipped a switch. GONE!
And I was grateful.

I hate to even complain.
Some have it MUCH worse. I know the end result being a healthy baby is all I can possibly ask for, but whew - it was rough. I think God has a sense of humor. He knew I would be a nervous wreck this entire pregnancy, so for the first 12 weeks He gave me something else to "focus" on. :)

Here are some belly shots from those first 12 weeks. I didn't take any before 9 weeks.
I was still walking around the house with my jaw in the floor, remember?!
