So I'm super excited that in 5 short weeks, I'll be attending the Influence Conference. Some of my favorite bloggers will be there, and I'm totally geeked out about it. These are ladies that have blessed me in so many ways - just by the words they share on their blogs. Pretty powerful stuff!
Influence is all about using your voice, your platform for Jesus.
Rachael shares this about Influence:
If you’ve ever wondered how or why the Lord was going to use you in your home, work, community, or online – Influence is a fantastic place to connect and learn. We believe that God has given you influence right where you are, for one purpose: to make much of Him. At Influence we’re going to dig into the common thread of all of us – the Good News. We plan on doing a little teaching, talking, sharing, and celebrating concerning the ways He might want to use you on the individual platforms He’s given.
I'm super excited to see what God has in store for me in this area.
Today I'm linking up with some of the other attendees to get to know each other before the conference!
3 get-to-know-me items:
1. I'm originally from Kentucky, lived in Chicago for a few years and have lived here in Indiana for 10 years. (And people still pick up on my southern accent.)
2. I met my husband during a girl's road trip one weekend my sophomore year of college. (Thanks for planning that Jenni!) We did the long-distance thing for 2 years: TOUGH, but worth it! We just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary!
3. I love blogging! It started out as a way to share news with family and friends. Along the way, we lost our second son Christian shortly after his birth, and it has become so much more.
2 things I'm looking forward to about the conference:
1. Meeting some of my favorite bloggers face to face!
2. It's super nice that it's so close to where I live, and I'm feeling blessed that the Lord planned it that way. God has been working in my life in some amazing ways lately, and I think this conference is one of those!
1 thing I can’t leave home without:
I hate to admit it, but I feel like I'm missing a limb without my iphone. Chapstick is a close 2nd.
Looking forward to meeting all of you lovely ladies very soon!

That's awesome that Influence is close by where you live! I'm excited to meet you there!
I love southern accents (and secretly wished I had one)! Looking forward to meeting you!
Hi Erin! Southern accents (and accents in general) are so fun. Agreeing with Nicole ^ that I wish I had one, except mine isn't such a secret wish. My husband often reminds me that my "accent" isn't real and can I please stop. ;)
Love this lil blog you got here, and cute family :) I am so sorry to hear about your loss, but incredible the story you're able to share through that. Look forward to seeing you at the conference!
