Gulf Shores {2013}

We recently got back from a week in Gulf Shores, AL. The weather was great. We had a few rainy days but after only staying 2 days last year because of the hurricane-- we were thrilled! :)
It was great to get away and have lots of time together.

Chase was a bit more brave in the waves this year, but still didn't want to venture very far in. Which was just fine by this momma. His favorite things to do are still building sandcastles, looking for shells and running around!

Not sure what is going on here, but he was having fun!

Trying out a boogie board for the first time.

 Building our volcano

Dinner at Tacky Jack's where we spotted a few dolphins from our table.
Will did great, both on the car ride down (we broke up the trip) and during the week. He cried pretty hard a few times in the car when it was time to nurse -- but otherwise slept most of the way.
I didn't keep him out on the beach for very long stretches of time, but he tended to fall asleep when in the Ergo which was nice when he needed to nap. He slept through the night the entire trip - now that's what I call a VACATION! :)
We took a Dolphin cruise this year, and it was a big hit. Nursing on a boat was also a first for me. :) Chase loved seeing the dolphins, as well as the other boats, jet skis and buoys out in the water.

Mom and Greg joined us and it was so nice having extra help with the boys.
Lots of fun times!
Chase got to "drive" the boat. That was a trip highlight for him!

At the Wharf for lunch and sightseeing on a rainy afternoon.

Checking out the light show at the Wharf. Despite Chase's face, he had a blast dancing:

Chase loved the Naval Aviation Museum.
We saw the Blue Angels fly overhead several times while on the beach so seeing them up close was super fun for him.
Dinner at Lulu's - one of our favorites!
Always thinking of my boy...
Gorgeous rainbow on our last night.
