Christian's 2nd birthday is now less than a month away.
It seems unreal that it has been two years since I last held him, although in my heart it can still seem like yesterday.
As this emotional day approaches, Wes and I have been discussing ways to honor him this year.
Last year we did the March of Dimes walk, and raised nearly $1,000 in his name! Amazing.
We won't be doing the walk this year for two reasons. It's the day after my due date so I don't think I'll be up for walking, and we wanted to (re) introduce you to another worthy organization very close to our hearts.
I recently finished placing all of Christian's photographs into an album. As I looked through them all, I was reminded once again how priceless they are. I remembered the day I heard about this organization. I was so touched by the selfless and giving hearts of the photographers who donate their time to this group.
As you may know, Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS) is a non-profit organization that provides remembrance photography for families whose children are either still-born or only live a short time.
Rachael Meier with Simple Heart Photography has blessed us with priceless photos of our sweet Christian, both before he was born in a maternity shoot and afterward in the hospital. I can't put into words what these photos mean to us. Learn more about donations to NILMDTS by clicking here.
