Wes and I took Chase to the State Fair last week. While we had a great time, it was so terrible to see the collapsed stage where lives were lost and so many lives changed forever in many ways. I pray God is holding those families close as they adjust to life without their loved ones.
Here are a few a million photos from our visit:
Feeding Mr. Cow
The real reason I went: that's right. Corndogs.
You can eat with your elbows on the table at the fair.
Chase checking to see if he was tall enough to ride.
He was, but thinks he'll wait until next year.
Fishing with Daddy...
Look, I won a Muno! (Anyone who has seen Yo Gabba Gabba understands!)
At "Little Hands on the Farm" - my personal favorite part of the fair (2nd to the corndogs.)
Chase worked hard at the farm! Gathering eggs,
planting seeds,
wearing a cool hat,
shearing a sheep,
milking a cow,
and he got paid a whole dollar for his hard work!
He decided to buy a cheese stick with his hard-earned cash.
Ice cream at the Dairy Barn
Another fair game... We won 2 goldfish (more on that later!)
