Christian's Butterflies

After Christian's memorial our immediate family joined us back at our house for a butterfly release in Christian's honor. The poem/phrase below explains a bit of why we did it.
Christian wasn't here long enough. But we are still thankful to have met him, to have had him in our lives for those few short, wonderful hours. We hurt, but we are also thankful that God chose us to carry Christian, to be his Mom, his Dad, and his big brother and we are thankful for all of the lives his story has touched.

We hope that in days, weeks, months and years to come we will see these beautiful painted lady butterflies while we are out and about and think of Christian. We hope that you will do the same. And will you please share with us when you do? :) I've already seen a few fluttering around the backyard, and one landed on a tree right near us when Wes, Chase and I were walking in a park in Carmel a few weeks back. I like having this sweet reminder of my boy!
The butterflies arrived in individual envelopes

Chase thought they were pretty cool!
