Cute as a Button {a baby shower}

My best girl Liz is due in August!

I recently hosted a baby shower for her and some girlfriends.

I'm usually not much on themes, but I saw this one on Pinterest and couldn't resist!

The menu:

turkey and ham sliders (I omit the brown sugar and mayo)

PW fruit salad

homemade red pepper hummus and chips

mini fruit tarts

button cookies

lemon cake

tea & lemonade

 

 I made the banner and other signage on the Cricut.

The guest book was Wherever You Are, My Love Will Find You, by Nancy Tillman.

Guests also wrote a special message on cardstock for the baby book.

 Hanging "buttons" were made by cutting circles on the Cricut and sewing them together on the sewing machine with white thread.

 

We played two games: found HERE and HERE.

So many friends came to celebrate this little life!

The adorable cake was made by my friend Melanie, of Sweets by Mel.
