It's hard to believe it's been 16 years since my Dad passed away. December is always a hard month, and this year has been especially hard just knowing he can't be here to see Chase. It's hard to think about sometimes, but I know he would be so proud of this amazing little guy and I can't wait to tell him all about his Grandpa Mathes! He was such a brave man, a great brother and son, an awesome husband, and the Dad that everyone thought was so funny and cool! :)
